Maggie Green came late to professional costume design, though she has been making costumes for family and friends since she was a teenager. It was only after coming to Los Angeles a decade ago that she realized it could be a career. Maggie has a certificate in costume design from Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy, but finds that motherhood was also great training for dressing performers. Her favorite work has been with Pacific Opera Project, for whom she’s been doing costumes since 2012 when they did their first big production with a chorus, Sweeney Todd. The Abduction from the Seraglio was the tenth show Maggie designed for POP! The first opera she ever designed was Wagner’s Die Feen, with Laura Sage’s previous company, Lyric Opera of Los Angeles.
